How to use and notes
- Choose hex or ASCII text as the input type, then pick the algorithm.
- Results show both byte orders. CRC-16 Modbus is sent low byte first: the frame 01 03 00 00 00 02 has CRC C4 0B.
- Every CRC algorithm has a standard check value: the CRC of the ASCII string "123456789". Use it to verify your own library.
- LIN enhanced needs the frame ID (hex, 00 to 3F); the tool computes the PID and then the checksum. Diagnostic frames use classic.
